About Dr. Valerie Brown
Clinician | Guide| Founder of the Inner Axis Method™
Many of the women who come to see me are intelligent, sensitive, and driven. They are used to performing at a high level in their work and relationships, yet something in their body no longer feels sustainable.
They may be experiencing pelvic pain, digestive issues, nervous system overwhelm, or a sense that they’ve lost connection with their body. Often they’ve tried many approaches already and are looking for care that looks deeper than symptom management.
My work focuses on restoring the body’s central support system — the relationship between the pelvic floor, breath, spine, and nervous system. When this system becomes coordinated again, women often experience less pain, greater stability, and a renewed sense of connection with their bodies.
My Approach
I am a doctorally trained pelvic floor physical therapist with additional training in somatic movement, yoga therapy, functional medicine principles, and trauma-informed care. My work integrates clinical rehabilitation with practices that help the nervous system regulate and the body rebuild support from the inside out.
In our work together we may focus on:
• pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain
• hypermobility and connective tissue instability
• chronic tension in the abdomen, hips, or low back
• nervous system dysregulation and stress patterns
• restoring coordinated strength and mobility
My goal is not simply to treat symptoms but to help women understand their bodies and rebuild sustainable support.
Why This Work Matters to Me
Like many of my clients, I spent years pushing through stress and ignoring signals from my body. My own healing required learning how to slow down, listen more carefully, and rebuild a relationship with my body that was based on awareness rather than force.
That experience shaped the way I practice today.
I believe effective healing requires both clinical precision and respect for the body’s complexity. Pain and dysfunction are rarely isolated problems; they often reflect patterns involving movement, stress physiology, and the nervous system.
My work helps women restore stability and resilience so they can move through their lives with more energy, confidence, and capacity.
Who I Work With
I work primarily with women who:
• Experience pelvic pain or pelvic floor dysfunction
• Identify as highly sensitive or hypermobile
• Have chronic tension or nervous system overload
• Want a deeper, more integrated approach to healing
Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, and leaders who recognize that caring for their bodies is essential to sustaining the work they care about in the world.
